Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

It actually doesn't even matter what web browser you have. Re-install Firefox will not help. goingonearth. com is a part of rootkit infection. You have to use [TDSSKiller|http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208280684] or rootkit removal tool by Norton to remove the roorkit. You should also scan your computer with Malwarebytes or any other malware removal tool to remove associated malware from your computer. Here's a short write-up about the goingonearth redirect issue:
