Firefox only remembers some of my gmail accounts.

I have three gmail accounts.

When I type in the first letter of my ID, the rest comes up and so does the password. This works for two of the accounts, but not the third.

How do I make Firefox remember the third ID?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

In Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode Firefox won't fill names and passwords automatically and won't offer to store new passwords.

Hi,

I know I'm not in privacy mode, though, because it remembers SOME of my user names, but not all of them.

Did you verify that?

Already stored passwords are not affected. You only can not store new names and passwords in the Password Manager if you are in Private Browsing mode.

Does Firefox offer to store that third name and password?

Just double-checked, and it is set to Remember history.

And no, it doesn't offer to remember the name or the password.
