When I click on the gmail icon, firefox goes to composing an email message and it will not let me go to inbox; therefore I have to either go to internet explorer or I have to manually go to www.gmail.com and then go to gmail. What is wrong!!! very frustrating

Seems like you are using a Google Add-on. Try Resetting Google Add-on Settings to Default. Restart Firefox

Check and tell if its working.

I don't know how to get to "defaults" on add on bar. I uncheck add on bar and the 5 icons are still there (facebook, gmail. etc) -- I close firefox and restart firefox -- the add on bar is sstill unchecked when I rt click on tabs area -- when I check mark add on bars -- I don't see anything change -- I still do not get to inbox

I use windows 7 by the way could I re install firefox? would that help? Is there another way to get gmail icon on browser menu or somewhere?

You don't need to Uninstall Firefox. The problem is due to the Google Add-on you are using. You need to Configure it to revert your Google Add-on settings to Reset to Defaults.

-> Tap ALT key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar

-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> right-click the Google Add-on and click Settings -> can you see any option that says "Reset Settings to Default" ??

The google toolbar is disabled -- it says because the tool bar is incompatible with Firefox 5 -- so it is disabled -- so is that the problem? Do I need to go to an earlier firefox? -- can I do that?
