When I open Amazon or Microsoft web site, the page goes 99% off the left edge... hence no view of the page. I can't drag it to a viewing.

Do you have the Babylon toolbar, if so disable it. Use Alt+SpaceBar to move and/or resize window. Use Ctrl+L to bring up the Location Bar.
