Since I upgraded my Mac OS X to the recent Snow Leopard and Lion iterations, my Firefox occasionally switches to private browsing mode without any user input. It appears to happen when I close my Macbook Pro with Firefox running and then re-open it. My pages and tabs remain open and unchanged, but private browsing is enabled.
