The number/symbol row of keys does not work on ANY webpage. There is either no response to a keystroke, or a copy of the last letter typed is returned. I can only get numbers from the number pad, and if I need a symbol like '@', I have to copy it from somewhere else, like a Word document or the character map. The keys work fine in MS Office Programs. I use an older version of Firefox, for compatibility with my online classes.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can also try to do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) before installing a new copy of the latest Firefox 3.6.x version.

BTW, you can install the portable Firefox 3.6.x version to access websites that do not work with Firefox 5+.
