I have two default profiles but I didn't set it up that way. Is this a problem?

I was thinking about setting up a mail profile in Firefox after I learned of the option today and found out that I had two default profiles already set up. I don't know what information you may need so I will give you as much as possible.

One is located in C:documents and settings - owner - application data- Mozilla - Firefox - profiles - ksu3p89n and holds 17.7 mbs, 7 files and 51 assorted .dat, .js, .sqlite, etc and created date of 2/09/09 (I hadn't downloaded Firefox until earlier this year). The other is located in C:documents and settings - administrator - application data - Mozilla - Firefox - profiles - zocfiwb and holds 2.68 mb, 2 files and 22 assorted .js, .sqlite, etc and created date of 6/08/11. The other thing I noted is the bookmarksbackups folder has just one .json file in the later file with the same of 6/08/11, but there is 10 in the ksu...profile, all dated from 9/1 - 11/11, excluding 9/03.

I did not do this since I had no idea they even existed until today. Is it okay that there are two default profiles? If not which do I delete and how?

That is probably OK.
You may have installed and run Firefox as Administrator if you currently run Firefox as a limited user.

You may need to run Firefox as Administrator to be able to update the program, so best is to leave the two profiles.

I only installed FF the one time and don't sign on to my computer under Admin, Owner, All Users or anything. I use FF as my primary and only browser since I switched to it earlier this year. I have no problems with updates, but when I go to the FF main support page it says I have an unstable FF and need to update but then when I click on update it says I am up to date. Other than that the only problem I have is when composing emails (Yahoo), messages, online posts, the virtual memory will go from below 200mb to over 500mb, causing FF to hang or freeze in an hour or two. I have checked my plugins, run FF in safe mode and the problem still exists.

Is there a way I can check to see if all the updates are in the right profile folder? Or should I uninstall/reinstall FF and delete what appears to be the older lesser used Admin profile?

Thanks!
