does not let you save page to desktop

when on a website and you leave it and want it on your desk top i used to be able to right click save to desk top simple,,, not any more firefox gives an option to save to my documents lol no i want to see the webpage on my desk top and click on it plz detail explain how to do this thanks x

I suggest you edit out your telephone number, it may not be something you wish to display on a public web site.

I am not sure when they removed the right click option, they also moved the file save option, I guess it is just something most users no longer use.

  • use Ctrl + S
    ( Keyboard keys press and hold Control then press S )
  • alternatively try
    1. pressing keyboard key Alt (that temporarily brings up the menubar or moves mouse focus)
    2. click File -> Save page as (then use the save as window to navigate to the desktop)
