I uninstalled firefox by accident and re-downloaded it. All my bookmarks were gone. Is there anyway to recovery my bookmarks?

If your old Firefox profile is still there, you should still be able to recover your bookmarks etc. Please check this page to find the location of your profile: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles

The short version:

  • Go to Help -> Troubleshooting Information
  • Under the "Application Basics" section, click on "Open Containing Folder"
  • Go "up" one folder

You should see at least one folder with a name like "as4d6asf.default". If there is more than one folder with a name like that, you're in luck! You can recover the information from your old profile using the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Recovering%20important%20data%20from%20an%20old%20profile

Good luck

Thanks for your help but there was only 1 profile and it was created tonight so I guess it overwritten my old profile when it re-installed.
