Everytime I try to download Firefox it stops at 99% and 1 sec remaining. It never completes even though I've tried it many times. Why?

I can't download Firefox because it never completes the download. It ends at 99% complete with 1 sec remaining and never completes.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

See "Disable virus scanning in Firefox preferences - Windows"

I'm sorry but I'm a technotard when it comes to computers. I keep Help desks and the Geek Squad in busines. Ha. Would you be willing to give me more information on how to disable virus scanning. The website was confusing to me....see, I really am a technotard. Thanks.
