Hoping someone can assist..

Last few days whenever I attempt to use Google search - first using Firefox 6.0.2 and now 7.0.1 - the screen changes to the page that usually displays the search results but no results are shown. The URL even looks like it's done a search (example link included at the end of this). It doesn't matter what I try to search - for the example I tried to Google "Google" - nothing works. I only have this problem with Firefox; both Chrome and IE8 search and display the results without a problem. Anyone else might just switch to one of them but I enjoy using Firefox and don't wish to switch.

I've attempted numerous times to remedy the problem by clearing my history, cookies and cache, as well as removing Firefox and reinstalling with an older version (5.0) but when that failed to yield any search results I once again upgraded to 7.0.1. Nothing I've tried has worked, so I'm hoping someone may have an idea that will solve my problem.

Thanks anyone that can help. Mak.

possible malware infection Install, update, and run these programs in this order. They are listed in order of efficacy. (Not all programs detect the same Malware, so you may need to run them all to solve your problem.) These programs are all free for personal use, but some have limited functionality in the "free mode" - but those are features you really don't need to find and remove the problem that you have. Note: If your Malware infection is bad enough and you are mis-directed to URL's other than what is posted, you may have to use a different PC to download these programs and use a USB stick to transfer them to the afflicted PC.
