In both Chrome & IE, the hotlink changes color after clicked in future viewings. You can even choose both colors(clicked & not clicked) so you can keep track of where you've been(on a webpage). After clicking a hotlink in Firefox, it does NOT change color. How do I get it to change color & how can I choose the colors ?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
