When I click on firefox, the window does not even open, and just comes up with a crash report - I've uninstalled and installed firefox already, and it still does it.

NEW Crash in nsAString_internal::Assign mainly close to startup, with a random .dll filename in stack (malware-related)
This crash can be caused by malware as indicated by the Related Bugs. Reason:
strange dll in stackframe #2 and #3
In question 877925 a user has reported as succesfull removal by using this free Kaspersky tool:

You can also do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
