I have a MacBook Pro, & use GoogleChrome as my browser. The reason I had Firefox installed was to get the emoticons for use on Facebook. after installing it the emoticon site tells me it is not installed.

You posted this with Google Chrome according to the user agent.

Did you install Firefox after downloading and saving the Firefox dmg file?

Firefox is asking me to be my search, so I am guessing it is installed. I also have the bar to use. Google Chrome is still my primary search.

But I used the Firefox bar to reach the emoticons. Did it still use my Google Chrome? Do I have to make it my primary search?

You only need to start the Firefox application to use Firefox as the web browser.

I used it to try to reach my Facebook account through my history. It wants an entirely new Facebook password. I am using the Firefox toolbar. How would I have it & the icon in my dock, without it being installed?

You can use the same user name and password for Facebook and other sites in Firefox as you are using in other browsers like Google Chrome.

Did you succeed to launch the Firefox application?
