What i want to know is, How do i remove yahoo search bar permanently, forever, So i never ever ever EVER have to see it again?Usually I use Google or Wikipedia. I hate yahoo, so i go into manage search engine and remove it. but it always comes right back after reloading Firefox. I want Yahoo to stop re-adding itself to the Firefox toolbar each time i reopen Firefox.

  1. Right-click on drop-down beside the search engine icon
  2. at the bottom choose "Manage search engines..."
  3. Select unwanted search engine and click on the "Remove" button

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
