Gmail contacts don't open when using Mozilla but do so using Internet Explorer, which implies it's a Mozilla problem. Help?
Using Windows 7, latest Mozilla and cleared cookies and cache. My gmail contacts do not load when accessing via Mozilla - screen freezes with continuous "loading" message. I used to be able to open contacts. If access gmail using IE, contacts open immediately - so why not with Mozilla?

Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)
- You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.
Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

I tried opening gmail contacts while in safemode but it was the same - frozen screen with 'loading' message. I have posted this on google forum as well and have had four other people say they have the same problem. It was one of these that alerted me to the fact that opening gmail contacts works while operating IE. I've always operated Mozilla without trouble and am frustrated - will I have to change to IE??
same problem. but it works in seamonkey just fine.
