Google search engine is built-in in the browser. How can I set it so the search results will be shown on a new window, like the Google toolbar does, and in the same window (after Enter)?!

Chosen solution

in your about:config settings

  • browser.search.openintab user set true

see https://support.mozilla.com/questions/899856

with or without the setting you can make something entered into the search bar or into the location bar open in a new tab with "Alt+Enter".
