I downloaded Firefox 8 recently and it crashes 2-3 times each time I start it. Can this be fixed??
I recently downloaded Firefox 8 and now when I attempted to connect to the internet via Firefox, it crashes 2-3 times before the internet comes up. It never did this on the previous Firefox version. Can this be fixed?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

I have a second profile on my pc and it does the same thing in that profile also. As I mentioned in the previous post, it did not do this in the previous Firefox version. Any other suggestions?
Viewing a crash report might be helpful, it may tell us exactly what the problem is.

Type about:crashes in the URL bar and hit Enter.
- Middle-Click the hyperlinks to bring up each Crash Report page in a new Tab; each page may take a few minutes to load.
- Then copy'n'paste the URL of each of those reports into the message box here.
- We'll see if we can help you figure out what is causing those crashes to happen.
