I want to view an Acrobat file at my mutual fund online and when I click on the Adobe file icon, the Microsoft Viewer and Fax window appears and I cannot view the file. How do I get back the function whereby my Adobe reader opens the view of the file?

I found a satisfactory solution although it is not as simple or direct as I think the solution should be.

The Windows Viewer & Fax window still comes up when I click on Adobe Reader, but I then 'right click on the Windows Viewer screen and a small window opens and there is a choice given to Open Adobe Reader and I then click on it and the PDF file does open. I would be happier if the Windows Viewer did not insert itself between my clicking on Adobe Reader the first time, but I cannot seem to be rid of the Windows Viewer & Fax application opening the first time I click on Adobe Reader.
