The Meebo site recommends that you do the following to remove the Minibar:

"How do I uninstall the MiniBar?

In Firefox: 

   Go to Tools->Add-Ons.
   Choose the Meebo extension (in the Extensions category), and click Remove."

Unfortunately, Meebo is not listed in my extensions list, so I cannot remove it from there.
