how can I stop AOL toolbar from installing....I removed it...but a welcome page appears each time I log on

Hi dwpete100,

Does it actually try to install the toolbar each time or just take you to that page? If it just takes you to that page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article How to set the home page.

There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to your personal preference.

If that doesn't work you should look at the article Preferences not saved.

thanks again for the help.....I did reset the home page/Google.......and went to my firewall settings and added google chrome.......also double checked my popup blocker controls..........the AOL page was all that was showing up....I removed the toolbar a while ago.....things seem to be working the way they should....pete
