I'm using the latest Java and only Firefox and Seamonkey show it as out of date.

Firefox shows the java plugin applet 14.0.3 as out of date yet all my other browsers Safari, Chrome, Opera, Camino, show it as up to date.

My Java version is 1.6.0_29-b11-402, Firefox shows 1.6.0_24.

Please don't send me instructions on how to install mac's Java, I have the latest installed. The post below is mine also; with two images, and shows that it is installed properly.

I have also tried: http://developer.apple.com/search/index.php?q=java

Here is an Image of a Java Check done from another plug-in checker not related to Firefox. Also the Apple Java Pref. Page.
