whilst watching clips on websites, my laptop completely crashes... first the screen freezes, along with the sound, CTRL+ALT+DEL wont even come up anymore as the system is crashed

Hi,

Right-click on a flash video, click the icon on the bottom left end and uncheck Enable hardware acceleration. If the problem videos are of another type, please try disabling either VideoLAN or np-mswmp in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons, click Plugins on the right.
