I would like to use Gmail as my default webmail service in Firefox but when I go to Applications to set it as my default it is not an option. Windows Live Mail is the only thing that shows up. How do I add Gmail as an option in the applications list? I have been able to do this in the past and do not want to use the Gmail notifier.

Try to reset all mailto prefs to the default on the about:config page.

You can also try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder
