The arrow keys have stopped working in Firefox. This happened whilst I was using FF8. I have since upgraded to FF9 and it still doesn't work.

The arrow keys work in all other applications, including Thunderbird and all the office programs.

Try a total uninstall/reinstall of Firefox. If you have a sync account you can get your passwords, bookmarks, history (BUT NOT ADDONS) etc back by connecting FF to it again.

Possibly, caret browsing. Hit the F7 key to toggle it on and off.

  • Mozilla ActiveX control and plugin module

The Mozilla ActiveX plugin is not compatible with Firefox 2 versions and later and you should remove it.
