cannot get rid of F/F update notification window

each time I open up my F/F browser, the first thing that comes up is a orange window "Hooray, your Fire Fox is up to date". I have to cancel out the window to use F/F. There is a notification task bar that asks me whether I want to send info Yes/No. This will not disappear when I press no.
