Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 9, I cannot rely on it. When I am opening a new tab or even just scrolling down the page, Firefox will crash. I spend most of my time submitting crash reports and restarting Firefox. I want to downgrade to Firefox 8 until 9 becomes more stable. Please help!

I worked through all of the steps listed and went to one of the websites that I know I was on when Firefox crashed. It didn't crash after completing those steps so hopefully the issue has been resolved.

Both crashes seem to be related to Trusteer Rapport.

Using the Stop Rapport option will disable the program without uninstalling it. Ref:

You can uninstall Rapport like any other program on Windows Vista. Ref:
