How do I copy bookmarks in Firefox for MAC to my Firefox in a Windows laptop?

Laptop is running Windows 7. I looked for the file in Firefox on my MAC, but was unable to find anything remotely close. Both the MAC and the laptop are on a wireless network. Is it possible to sync the bookmarks through that, or do I need to find the file on the MAC, copy it to a thumb drive and sneakernet it to the laptop?

Hi GaryS,

Are you going to keep using both computers or are you getting rid of one of them? If you are going to be getting rid of one, you should take a look at Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. It will show you how to back up everything in Firefox which you could then restore onto your new computer.

If you are planning on keep both computers and using them, I'd take a look at Firefox Sync. It allows you to share your data securely across your computers and keeps them synchronized.

Hopefully this helps!

Matt - Thanks for the info. Although the link you provided ended up with a "page not found", I did manage to find the sync instructions. Worked like a charm.
