how do I get a copy of my bookmarks off my laptop and onto my desk top?

I now have a new desk top, I want to export the bookmarks from my laptop to the new desk top.

Chosen solution

You can do that from the bookmark window from the Import and Backup toolbar button. You can export the bookmarks as .html to whatever directory you wish.
