How do I find a bookmark folder?

When I bookmark another page in the list of available folders in the drop-down list I see the folder. But when I look for the folder in my bookmarks list it is nowhere to be found. I know the folder is there as I can save more bookmarks to it, but I cannot find it. You need to have a more responsive help system where you actually answer specific questions instead of sending a person to a list of answers that are not relevant.

Thanks for replying. Typing the first letters did not work in my case. I was finally able to find somewhere in a Firefox help forum that installing the add ons "Show Parent Folder" and "Go Parent Folder" would show the folder heirarchy when choosing "Show all bookmarks." So those worked for me. Sometimes I store bookmarks in a sub-folder and then do not remember what folder the sub-folder is in. Thank you though.

Can you go to that folder if you open the bookmarks in the sidebar (View > Sidebar > Bookmarks) and quickly press the first letters of that folder (don't use the search bar)?

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
