Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile

What is your homepage set to?

I'm not to savy and screens didn't appear as instructions stated, but issue did not occur when Firefox started in SafeMode. So, I deleted add - ins permenantly. All seems to be working ok now.

Didn't try with a new, empty profile since I do not know what a profile is and your first suggestion worked.

Home page is business.verizon.net

I will try finding cause by tracking down extensions as you suggest at a later date. Thanks for the education.
