Nothing happens after I type url in location bar, but when I search in the google toolbar the google website loads perfectly fine. My bookmarks load fine. It's just the location bar that is having issues.

When I type the url in the location/navigation bar, nothing happens. No hourglass comes up. There are no error messages like server not found or anything. The cursor just sits there and nothing happens after I hit enter. Like I said before the google toolbar on the right of the navigation bar works and my bookmarks load when I click on them, so I don't know what's going on. I have already tried to clear cookies and cache and that didn't work and I restarted my computer and it still doesn't work. Please help.

That issue can be caused by the AVG Safe Search extension.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
