I click save a file. The download window pop up. Mozilla froze before the download icon came on. I close it and open it and it still froze. Restart my computer. Open Mozilla and it works. Have to do it everytime I download a file.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Hi danny10889,

I'd try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the Extension and Themes troubleshooting article for details.

Hopefully this helps!
