Website Passwords not on my security list still come up
My banks new website took and kept my password so it pops up everytime the first letter is typed. It is NOT on my Firefox password list in Options and Security. I called the bank and they say it is the web browser that is making the password pop up. What can I do to stop it from popping up. THere is nothing on the bank website to manage this

If you want to remove saved data from a drop down list then use these steps:
- Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
- Highlight an entry in the drop down list
- Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
You may also need to clear the cookies from that site.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Thanks so much. Just deleting them worked. Sounds so simple.

You're welcome
Why does it keep saving the password. I continue to have to do as you said in the prior reply, delete it. It keeps coming back after the next time I use it. Is there a way to permanently keep it from coming up? I looked in the Tools, Security section and did not find a cookie for that specific website. I don't want to delete all of them though.

Are you talking about an obscured (***) password field or a name field?
- Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember search and form history"
No the actual word with letters
Items that show as readable text are possibly saved as form data.
