Voy a contestar por mi mismo. Por una razón desconocida hay que manualmente desde Firefox abrir el paquete langpack-es-ES@firefox.mozilla.org.xpi (o respectivamente los para Argentina o México) que está en /usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions/. Contestar "Si" a la pregunta "instalar o no" y es todo.
