The bar used to be short so that I could navigate to see items below. Now it fill us most of the screen and I need to shorten it.

Which bar is it? Are you meaning your bookmarks bar? There are a couple bars you could have appear (and many more extensions), so if you could tell me which, or even better, attach a screenshot it would be awesome!

It is the bar (up/down) on the right side of the screen. Not sure how to send a screen shot. Not anything to do with the info or bars on the top of my screen. It's the slider that can take you down to the bottom of the page or up to see the top of the particular screen you are on. Thanks so much for trying to help me. Never had a problem like this before and need all the help I can get.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and that scroll bars fall off and aren't visible.

  • Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
  • Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window.

If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.
