Hi,

I'm using HP laptop with OS Windows 7 Professional edition.

I observed in the task bar that firefox consumes more than 2GB of ram just with 3 or 4 tabs.

Could you please let me know what are the memory tweaks or steps to reduce the memory consumption???

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards, Kathir

Memory usage is influenced by the type of site you use and the additional software Firefox may be using

Do your tabs include for instance massive webmail databases, or High Definition video. If you key into the location bar about:memory you will open an interactive page about memory usage, that should be more informative than the Windows task Manager.
