When I try to move around on a page or move to another page,I get a rolling blue circle.

Firefox "hangs up" when trying to go to another page. It takes at least a minute for the blue ball to go away and even then, if I try to click on something else on the page, I get the rolling ball again. this has happened for the last two weeks.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:


Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
