Certain fields within gmail are blanked out with Firefox but not with Windows Internet Explorer

In gmail, none of the button labels are shown. the boxes are empty/blank but when i move the cursor over them, the correct text appears in the boxes. when I select "textin settings", some of the text is shown, but not all. For instance, the "Settings" text box is blank. Also, the gear icon does not show. None of these problems exist with Window Internet Explorer. I'm running a 64 bit, Windows 7 system

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
