I hit the download button on the TOD web page then tried to stop the download, but could not. When I looked on my control panel to delete the program I could not find it listed. The TOD logo does show up on my computer home page. I don't know if this is a valid site, what should I do>

What is the URL (address) of that TOD website?

Did you install an extension?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
