When certain web pages start up (youtube, facebook, etc) this small b&w rectangle box pops-up at the top of the page- it has 2 bullet choices (click on which circle you choose) of 'show' or 'hide' notifications. (Notifications to what?) I have tried clicking on both at separate times - nothing changes that I know of. I just do NOT want it to pop-up. There are now so many adverts popping up that it is getting ridiculous. *Also, I can not click on a 'tab' feature for most sites all of a sudden. (like top of folder looking tab- i click it and the page does nothing). I just downloaded mozilla firefox Aurora to see if that would help- nothing so far. Any assistance on this is GREATLY appreciated.  :) - Eric

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
