I updated Firefox thru CNET Tracker to newest program and now have MAJOR issues! Have a Kodak Easy Share program & didn't update to the newest Kodak program due to the many issues I had read about it.

I went to 2nd Kodak program properties found this in: C:\Program Files\Kodak\Kodak EasyShare software\bin

I see that in Advanced Properties for 2nd Kodak icon under Shortcut that it this is ticked "Run in Separate Memory Space." I don't know how this got ticked-I wouldn't even know how to create a 2nd icon with a complete program!!!! I haven't got a clue how to untick it as it is grayed out. Maybe this last part will give someone a clue in helping me as I am really desperate-my desktop I believe has crashed and if not=it will with such low resources. Begging for help-really...

Huge issue now is that my Kodak program has duplicated in full & now have 2 complete Kodak programs on my desktop with over 8,700 pictures showing on each program which has made my resources get lowered to around 50% making my computer at risk for a total crash. The only thing I did was remove Firefox program hoping that would correct issue but it didn't=status quo.I am using my desktop in Safe Mode as that is where it went to when I turned it back on after TS Isac Not sure if my desktop already crashed? I really need some massive help as I don't want desktop to crash out Iif it didn't already?) & I'm not too technical. Are not any virus or malware present on desktop-100% certain. . Btw I did a complete clean up of desktop thinking that was issue with slowness and then did a restart. Appreciate and all help in this mess~don't want to lose my desktop as that is my primary computer that I use. Many Thanks

This seems not to be a Firefox specific problem, but I will nevertheless try to make some helpful comments.

  • cnett tracker could actually be part of your problem
  • Official copies of firefox are available from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    • advantages:
by default it keeps itself up to date
does not download or install any necessary software
you always get the up-to-date official version

You may wish to consider installing the official version from the above link, but do NOT use any options that offer to delete personal information.

I can not really help with the Kodak software. It is possible that what you see are duplicated shortcuts to the photos rather than the photos themselves. Or possibly cnett tracker has installed the software and your albums twice. You may be able to get advice on a more general Windows forum, or from Kodak related forums. Try for instance:

Windows Safe Mode is intended for troubleshooting. You may need to use that to sort out problems with Windows, or even be unable to run outside safe mode, but that is not something we can give detailed help with here.

If Firefox itself is crashing, rather than the infamous WIndows Blue Sreen crashes (BSOD) then see
