Does avrokeyboard_5.1.0 install an extension in Firefox?

Do you have that problem with the current release version - Firefox 15.0.1?

Try to set the Boolean pref gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading to false on the about:config page.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
