My kids were messing with my computer and must have pushed something and everything disappeared. I need to know how to put an address bar (back button, refresh, ect) back up into the top of my window. Part of the problem is that my computer screen is cracked and I can't see anything in my menu easily. A command that would restore the address bar would help. Thanks.

Did you try to open the View menu, assuming that you still have the menu bar (should be visible on Mac all the time), and looked in the toolbar menu to verify that the Navigation Toolbar has a check mark to make it get displayed?

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

  • Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display
    • View > Toolbars > Customize
  • Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

My computer screen is broken at the top and I can't see where that is exactly. Sorry! Where exactly is it? I'm pretty much doing it blind. Or is there a keyboard command to open that? Or if I go to the menu, how many over is the View menu? Then how many down is the Toolbar menu? I seriously can't see what I'm clicking on my computer screen is so busted up.
