today, i was on firefox and suddenly, ALL my bookmark disappeared, including my bookmark toolbar, and all folders. been trying to fix it since then but nothing works. restoring automatic backups is not functioning, and neither is manual restoring from old backups. Also, I can't add new bookmarks either. I'm pretty worried because I have the mobile version on my tablet and phone and if the loss of bookmarks syncs to them, it will likely mean they're all gone. this is unacceptable since I have hundreds of bookmarks for my research as an activist and it will take months to get them all back. I could turn to my windows partition and load up firefox while offline, then create a backup there, but even that would be a few weeks old. Is it possible to create manual backups through the mobile version? I could do that in airplane mode if possible.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

You can try to check and repair the places database with this extension:
