I have long used Adobe Reader to open PDF documents. I recently installed the Foxit plug-in and it made itself the default PDF reader. How do I set up the system so that when i click on a PDF I will get some sort of "Open With" pop-up window so I can choose which reader to use?

Hi,

You can try to change the application/settings in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Applications for the pdf file type. If problems persist, you can Disable the Foxit Plugin and also Enable Adobe if it's currently disabled or vice versa or Disable both the plugins and let Firefox choose.

Following your advice, I went to Tools > Options > Applications and set all four PDF Reader boxes to “Ask” in the hopes of being able to use Adobe Reader when I want. This set didn’t work so I set all four to Adobe which restored Adobe Reader as default.

Thanks for your help.
