I believe Firefox runs on Windows 8 similarly to the way it runs on Windows 7. A version of Firefox with full support for the new Win8 "metro" user interface is in the works but I think it's still in testing.

Hopefully you'll get some feedback from actual Windows 8 users.

I Need a new computer, but I cannot find a decent one without Windows 8. We are handicapped out her in cyberland. Help Mozilla, get the Metro in high gear. Any ideas when we will be able to buy new computers and run Metro??

I have had no luck running Firefox 17 or 18 Beta and Windows 8. Both freeze within 10 seconds of launch. Firefox 16 works fine for me, and I've just downgraded until the issue is fixed. Others have reported the same problem and blamed the problem on Flash, but I don't think that's the issue, at least in my case. It crashes even on non-Flash pages.
