I had a problem with my laptop HDD(bad sectors) and I had to format it. Before formatting it, I saved the profile folder in my external HDD. I tried to restore the profile but it doesn't work. It only contains the "Cache" folder (12 MB), "mozilla-media-cache" folder (0 KB), "OfflineCache" folder (11KB), "startupCache" folder (1,06 MB), "thumbnails" folder (50 KB), urlclassifier3.sqlite and urlclassifier.pset I can't find cookies.sqlite, formhistory.sqlite, etc. Is it possible to restore everything from "Cache" folder or any other way? My HDD is now low level formatted, so restoring the old data is impossible.

Thank you in advance.

Chosen solution

Unfortunately, that's not your profile folder. You've backed up %LocalAppData%\... but instead you should've backed up %AppData%\...

The disk cache contains web site files like pages, images and scripts. It's virtually useless for the purpose of restoring a backup.

I strongly recommend keeping proper backups of your data somewhere other than the drive in question. Bad sectors are not a good sign, and may indicate larger problems ahead.
