I'm getting a lot crashes. I have asked for help when it crashes but never heard any thing back. So the question is what good are the crash reports when no one reads them?

We don't respond to every individual crash report that comes in, but we do look at them, and track trends and and use the crashes to help fix future versions of Firefox. Are you having a specific crash? If you would like help resolving it feel free to give us the crash ID :)

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox location bar (that's where you enter your website names) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
  2. Copy the most recent 5 report IDs that you see in the crash report window and paste them into your forum response.

Thanks in advance for your help!

More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.

If you had a lot of crashes then the crash reporter may have throttled sending crash reports, so make sure to check if the reports have been send (those usually have a "bp-" prefix) and that they do not have a [@ EMPTY ] signature and have valid data about the crash.
