In both Mozzila and other browsers, random YouYube videos on random points (whenetehr full screen or not) freeze my computer completely, requiring a restart.

When I run a video on youtube, there is a chance that the computer might freeze completely on a completely random point in the video, requiring a total restart of the computer. And if I try to watch the video again, it will freeze exactly where it froze before.

Does this only in Firefox or in other browser as well?

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

1. Happens both in Mozilla and Internet Explorer, freezes at exactly the same points one or the other froze at.

2. I don't have a RealPlayer plugin/extension.

3. Already did that, freezing still happened.

4. Didn't have anything that could help.

5. Booted my computer in Safe Mode with Networking, videos with known freezing points seem to not freeze and after returning to normal mode the same video does not freeze at a known freezing point.

I have no idea on whenether this is solved the problem or not...

No, the problem still persists... though switching to Safe Mode with Networking seems to remove it for a particular video.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) is causing problems, so you can try to check that.

Checked things out and no, no conflicts with security software as far as I can see. Also, checked if the issue persists on Google Chrome, it does.
